Welcome to James Lord Photography.

James Lord is a New York City based photographer who is currently attending the School of Visual Arts. With a strong interest in theatrical and cinematic photography James enjoys working with a tight nit cast of characters who include his friends, family and any unfortunate victim that might be nice enough to let him move every piece of furniture in their home. Being the subject of several of his works, James feels a small amount of shame for putting his elderly parents through long, uncomfortable photo shoots. In the past three years James has had a chance to shoot film stills for several independent films and is currently working on his latest project entitled Domestic Sampler which will be shown on SVA's second floor gallery in September.
